Description

The International Law & Human Rights Society aims to bring together students with an interest in these two fast-developing areas of law, which are geopolitically significant and whose impact resonate in the life of many the world over.

Through our holding speaker series and panel discussions on topics in International & Human Rights Law, be it on the 1936 Montreux Convention and its relevance to the ongoing war in Ukraine, or the Hong Kong pro-democracy protests of 2014 and 2019 and their significance for human rights & civil liberties; we wish to create a space for discussion and promote avenues for networking which may benefit members future careers.

Along with speaker series, debates and the like, society members will be able to apply and compete in external moots relevant to these fields of interest. As a Society, we are committed to our practical engagement to these subjects, raising awareness of important human rights issues and taking action where available are part of our mandate. If this speaks to you, our society welcomes you.
