The Leeds Mooting Society aims to give all students the opportunity to learn more about mooting. Mooting is a form of legal debating, combining public speaking and persuasion, two key skills for any lawyer, regardless of their career path.

We want to make mooting more accessible to students on every course at The University of Law, whilst also providing an opportunity for more experienced mooters to compete. We hope to hold events ranging from introductory workshops to campus-wide competitions.
