The Aims of our Society are the following:
The Bloomsbury Law Review aims to promote critical legal scholarship and excellence among law students through research, writing, and discussion. The club plans on providing a platform for students to engage with complex legal issues through set themes and free choice events and develop their analytical writing skills to contribute to the broader legal discourse within and beyond the University. This club will allow students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the publication process and build a portfolio of published legal work that strengthens their academic and professional portfolio.
Members will have the opportunity to write and publish short articles, case commentaries, and legal analyses in our student led Law Review. They will participate in peer review and editorial processes to strengthen their academic writing and critical thinking. Students will have the option to attend workshops on legal research, citation standards, and academic writing techniques. As well as collaborate with guest speakers.
Activities will include writing workshops, peer review session, editorial meetings and guest speaker events. These will take place at the University of Law’s London Bloomsbury Campus throughout the academic year, with regular meetings and publication cycles each term.
