The Aims of our Society is to:
- Improve advocacy skills.
- Make connections with like-minded young professional.
- Learn more about a career at the Bar.
This group is for aspiring barrister looking to meet like minded individuals and improve the relevant skills for a career at the bar. Activities we are going to plan will range from informal debates and chats to presentations from barristers as well as running our own mooting competitions or competing as a group in external ones. Activities will take place in a variety of different locations but we aim to be predominantly based on campus. Our main focus is academic as the society is aimed at helping our members with succeeding in a career at the bar but it will help create friendships with other future barristers which may prove useful at a later date. Activities will take place in the evenings and weekends so ensure they do not collide with people's academic commitments.
