Description

The Bristol Bar Society, while aimed at students wanting a career at the Bar, or those curious about it, is also open to those planning on or already taking the SQE.

We have already kicked off our debates (the first one being in December), where issues of legal, political and philosophical gravity are debated by speakers who have put their name in a hat, the winners of which are decided by a ballot of the audience. The debates are a fun, low-pressure environment for students to get public speaking experience, develop their confidence and build their CV.

All activities take place on campus. Currently, debates are planned to happen once a month.
