We have arranged a coach trip from Manchester to London over the Christmas break. For many of you, Manchester may only be around 30-40mins, so we wanted to offer this opportunity to you as well. It is a very cheap way of taking a trip to London, although it would potentially be a very early start for you. The details are below if you are interested.
Following student feedback, we have arranged for a coach trip to London on Saturday 27th December. As the journey to London is approximately 4 hours, we have two trip options as below.

As this trip takes place over the Christmas holidays, this could be the perfect Christmas present to yourself, or a gift you could ask for from a family member or friend.
The Cost
The cost to ULaw students is £20. This covers the cost of both coaches, with the rest of the cost covered by the Students’ Union. You are welcome to bring external guests with you (friends, family etc), including children aged 8+. The cost for external guests is £25pp, with a maximum of three external guests per student.
The cost of a usual return trip from Manchester to London is at least £100, making this an 80%+ saving.
Travel: Manchester to London
A private coach will collect you from the Manchester campus on Sat 27th Dec. It will arrive outside the campus at approximately 6am and will leave at 6:15am. Please give yourself plenty of time to travel to campus from your home address. It is your responsibility to be on time for the coach and there is no guarantee that it will wait for you.
The coach is due to arrive at London Euston Train Station at approximately 10:15am. You then have the full day in London to explore and do as you please (some ideas are below). London Euston is a central train station with an abundance of transport links all around central London.
Travel: London to Manchester, Same Day
If you wish to travel home the same day (Sat 27th Dec), the coach will collect you from London Euston train station in the same place it dropped you off, unless you are told otherwise. The coach will be at the train station from around 6:15pm, and is due to depart at 6:30pm. Again, it is your responsibility to ensure you are on the coach. The coach will drop you back at the Manchester campus at approximately 10:30pm.
Overnight Stays
We know the travel from Manchester to London is a long way, and you may wish to make the most of your trip by staying in London overnight. It is up to you to research accommodation options and decide on the best option to suit you. You can use websites such as Booking.com and AirBnB to find a range of options. If you wish to stay overnight in London, it is your responsibility to find your own accommodation – we do not book this for you.
Travel: London to Manchester, Next Day (Sunday)
If you choose to stay overnight, we have an option for travelling home on Sunday 28th December. The Sunday coach will collect you at 4:30pm from London Euston, arriving back to Manchester at approximately 8:30pm.
