• Meeting with Matt Western MP about student issues such as housing and cost of living. He is the Shadow Universities Minister. I was able to get another meeting with him in June/July time regarding International student issues.

 

• Attended and Participated in the UK Council for International Students Affairs (UKCISA) Student Advisory Group (SAG) Meeting.

 

• Attended Women in Suits (Student Society) International Women's Day Gala - Supporting our societies and student leaders.

 

• On a Student Panel during the GUS summit, providing that Student Voice prespective. GUS is the organisation that owns our university as well as many other unviersities around the world.

 

• Attended another APPG (Meeting in Westminster) on further education and Skills alongside other co-president and two student leaders - representing our Apprentice students, heavily involved with this discussion.

 

• Attended the International Student Buddies Event in Bloomsbury. Met with amazing students and supported this amazing initiative created by Gary Knight (Student Engagement Coordiantor) and University staff.

 

• Work related to SU Co-President Elections. Attended the 3 hour long candidate Election Hustings and travelled to the Manchester and Birmingham campuses to advertise the elections and meet with students.

 

• Ordered new lanyards for SU staff and our 47 reps for better visibility on campuses.

 

• SU Strategy Day - Deep discussions about where the SU is headed, what do we need to focus on and next steps. Met with Middlesex SU Manager, expanding our SU network.
