Hello, Hope you are having an amazing day! I am back with the next instalments of the monthly updates, where I discuss what I have been achieving this month for you! Hope your exams have gone well! Here are the highlights of the month of January:
Sabbatical Officer Visa Win! - international students can now run to be one of the SU Co-Presidents and the university will offer them a visa extension so that they can do the role full-time!
Safe Sex Products Win! - Free safe sex products have been sent to all of our UK campuses for students to take.
UKCISA Training - conferences around the country speaking about international student issues and Influence government policy making.
Submission of Policies to NUS National and Liberation conferences - on the topics of International Students and Sustainability.
Coffee and Cake Drop-in Event in Birmingham - Huma and I spoke with students on campus about their ideas, issues and recommendations.
Working on Improving Student-Staff Liaison Committees - Looking into technology to make feedback collection easier and making SSLCs visible for all students to read.
Thank you for tuning in to my monthly update for January. A lot of fantastic initiatives are happening and every single one of them is to make your student life more enjoyable. As always, if you want to contact me, send me an email at Pedram.Bani-asadi@law.ac.uk.
