Hello, I am back with the next instalment of the monthly updates, this time for December 2023. Hope you are having a great day! Here is a summary of what I have been doing to represent your voice in the month of December:
Met with the West Midlands Sabbatical Officers - to coordinate regionally on issues such as cost of living, high cost of accommodation and buses.
Attended University on-campus University Executive Board strategy session - in order to better understand the University strategy and how it aligns with the aims and goals of the Students’ Union.
Research Sabbatical Officer Visa options - to see if there is a viable path for International students to be a SU Co-President and be provided with a Visa Extension from the University for the duration of their time as president.
Attended various University Committees - International Student Experience Group, Widening Access and Participation, University Mental Health Charter and many more.

Attended a series of National Union of Students workshops about how best to create communities
One of the Judges of the University Commercial Awareness Competition Final
Investigate the possibility of the SU having physical space on campuses
