What was the main reason you decided to nominate yourself for a Co-President role?
My motivation for pursuing the Co-President role stems from my ardent desire to drive positive change within the student community. I am confident that my past experiences, coupled with my skills, make me an ideal candidate to represent the student voice and collaborate towards enhancing our academic environment. As a Student Employability Ambassador, I have had the unique opportunity to advocate for students' interests and address their needs. This invaluable experience has instilled in me a profound appreciation for attentively listening to students' concerns and taking decisive action. Through my active involvement in such capacities, I have cultivated essential skills in communication, collaboration, and leadership, which are crucial for the Co-President role. Serving as an Ambassador has demonstrated to me the significant impact I can make by empowering students and working together to facilitate meaningful change on their behalf.
If you had to pick only 3 things to achieve this year, what would they be?
- Strengthening student representation by increasing transparency and communication between the student body and administration.
- Enhancing academic support services, particularly for students who need additional guidance in areas such as study skills and mental health.
- Fostering a more inclusive campus culture that celebrates diversity and promotes respect for all individuals, regardless of background or identity.
