Beyond Human Rights society (to be renamed to Beyond Laws) is a student discussion group focused on debating and discussing practical implications of legal issues around the globe, and encouraging and providing avenues for research and writings on the same.
Bar Society
We are the Bar Society at the University of Law online campus.
Our mission is to support and guide anybody interested in pursuing a career at the bar by offering the essential skills and experience, as well as to assist you in making informed professional decisions.
The forthcoming year will include workshops, mooting competitions, court visits, and networking activities.
Board Game Society
The Board Game Society Online brings members together for social, competitive, and rewarding weekly sessions.
We welcome newcomers at any level of experience – so whether you’re a seasoned board game veteran, or a beginner yet to roll the dice, don’t hesitate to join for access to our server!
With a wealth of websites at our disposal, we encourage all manner of games from tactical ones like Azul, to word games like Scattegories and many more.
Canadian Online Student Society
As virtual learning is often done in solitude, the Canadian Online Student Society is a community dedicated to Canadian Online students of the University of Law and aims to provide a sense of inclusion and pride, as well as providing the ability to interact with Canadian students who are going through the same program.
DRS
A society focused on all things dispute-related, from international arbitration, mediation and litigation.
We aim to inform and provide a space for discussion of these legal areas through guest speakers, training exercises, mini-competitions and newsletters.
Legal Technology and Innovation Society
We are the Legal Technology and Leadership Society (LTLS), the only society within the university to specialise in innovations within the legal field and combine this with a focus on leadership - whether that be leadership in a commercial enterprise and/or leadership in a social entrepreneurial setting.
Through LTLS, we aim to encourage collaboration between entrepreneurs, legal and technology specialists, and anyone else interested in this exciting area!
LGBTQ+ Network
This society represents a meeting place for people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community and wish to become aspiring members within the legal profession.
Studying online may make some people feel isolated or alone, the society will aim to support and educate members as well as introduce them to new opportunities for LGBTQ+ law students, and become a welcoming, inclusive and safe space.
Psychological Society
The Psychology Society is a group of like-minded individuals wishing to expand their and others knowledge of the psychology world.
As there are many branches of the subject, we want a place where we can explore psychology as well as having fun!
The group is based online however, we are wanting to meet up at as many opportunities as possible to expand our knowledge, friends and to create an inclusive community for all psychological interests!
